q
Why should I spend money having someone else fulfill my products?
a
This depends on your company. Typically companies begin by sending their products themselves. When this becomes too much of a burden, you have to do the analysis for yourself. Are you running out of space to store your inventory? How much money will the additional space and staff cost? How much time will you have to spend in the line at the post office to pay retail shipping costs? We ship out thousands of orders each day. Because of this, we've negotiated some great shipping rates, which we pass on to our clients. In many cases, your postage savings will be greater than the cost of our fulfillment services, particularly at heavier weights and when shipping internationally. More importantly, we can save you time and stress. You can get back to what you do best.
q
What kind of products can you ship?
a
We ship a variety of products every day, from books to vinyl records and many things in between. That said, we've happily found a niche in the gaming/hobby space, and most of our current clients have partnered with us to fulfill comic books, board games, TTRPGs, etc. When it comes to games, our specialty is small-to-medium sized products, typically in boxes weighing 15 pounds or less.
q
Why should I choose Flying Cloud over another option?
a
We’ve all seen the press about warehouse and fulfillment companies charging too much money and not giving their employees the respect they need to do their jobs. This leads to mistakes and broken products, which leads to wasted money on the company’s part. According to a study by PCData USA, in 2016, mistakes and mispicks cost each individual warehouse an average of $500,000 a year. Flying Cloud Fulfillment is different. With solid working hours, respect for our team members, and passion for our work, each order is given the care and quality it deserves. Our attention to detail leads to fewer mistakes, this saves the warehouse and your company time and money. Why choose us instead of a stuffy 3PL? Stuffy 3PLs are too large and inflexible to be able to manage and work with a large variety of clients. We’re small and young, which means we are nimble and client-oriented.
q
What is the difference between Warehouses, Fulfillment Centers, and Distribution Centers?
a
A Warehouse merely stores your inventory. A Fulfillment Center gets the orders in and ships them to your customers. A Distribution Center holds massive amounts of inventory, and distributes products to retailers, like grocery, department, and book stores. Flying Cloud Fulfillment has the capacity to be all of these. We can hold your excess inventory and ship your orders to customers. We can send to retail stores and directly to customers and supporters.
q
Do you work with Etsy Shops or Shopify?
a
Absolutely! Flying Cloud Fulfillment can interact with you and your systems however you like. We have clients that send us order spreadsheets daily, and other clients that integrate directly to our systems. We can adapt to anything.
q
Can you handle my Kickstarter project?
a
YES! Crowdfunding campaigns are super exciting and we love being part of them.
q
I don't even know what question to ask.
a
Tell us what you do. Tell us what confuses you. Tell us about a particular pain-in-the-neck. We'll figure out a way to make it easier for you.
q
Once I fill out this Contact Form, you're going to start hounding me with phone calls, aren't you?
a
Nope. We hate unsolicited calls as much as you do. We'll answer your communication via email. Of course, If you'd like to talk on the phone, we're available!
q
What do you do with customer information?
a
We ship their order to them. That’s it. They're your customers, not ours. We will never use or share their information for anything else. We can provide a statement about information usage and safety if you require it for GDPR compliance.
q
What are your prices?
a
It varies. Are all of your orders unique or is it just one item that you ship? How large is your typical order? Do your orders require additional padding and cushioning? Each of our clients have different needs, so we tailor our pricing to suit each customer. Let us know the details of your business and we will be happy to email you back some custom pricing.
q
Where do you source your supplies from?
a
We use local suppliers and environmentally sustainable providers any chance that we can get. And we sure as heck have not ordered from Uline since January 2021.
